Art Outside Annual Picnic
The Bass Museum hosts its annual outdoor spring picnic in Collins Park celebrating public art with a full afternoon of activities. Bop Shop Brass band performs live pop covers while DJ Sammiheadd provides chill beats. On the art side, Raw Figs hosts a figure drawing session, Everybody Draws Everybody runs a portrait exchange, and Cut and Destroy Art Collective leads a collage workshop. The Bass Creativity Center and Teen Board have hands on art making activities for all ages. Backgammon Social brings a meetup and match session, and We Met in Miami runs their We Met at Game Night. There's also a picnic setup contest judged by WSVN's Belkys Nerey where you bring your most creative spread for a chance to win. This year also marks the opening of The Rotunda at The Bass, a free new satellite gallery in the park debuting with work by Pascale Marthine Tayou.
